Who are these people?

A dodgy bunch of misfits, hell bent on making noise and having a good time, but how did they get here?

2. First record you bought
May have been Ian Dury & The Blockheads – Hit me with Your Rhythm Stick… but not sure. I was lucky to be gifted quite a lot of stuff in those early days of abject poverty…

3. Last record you bought
No idea. Sad to say I download stuff now as I’m always on the move. Latest playlist includes Amyl & the Sniffers’ Cartoon Darkness and The Courettes, Just me being nosey, really. It’ll all change within the next few days…

4. Favourite record(s)
Regulars are still the stuff I’ve always listened to… Killing Joke, New Model Army, then proper old school classics like Free, Led Zep – there’s too much out there to fave?!

5. First gig you saw
Frederick Natrass Primary School recorder ensemble. Deafening! Then some hard rock band at a Spanish fiesta when I was growing up. No idea who they were but I think that was “the moment” and I knew I needed to make a noise.

6. Most recent gig you saw
Ozric Tentacles and The Orb

7. Favourite gig(s) you’ve seen
Loads of Killing Joke, The Ruts, Sex Pistols, Frank Zappa at the NEC a long time ago, then the odd one like Fat Freddy’s Drop (last year, was an absolute party), Jeff Beck before his sad passing… and loads that Jon will remember better than me cos his beer memory is much better than mine…

8. Musical heroes / inspiration
As I was growing into music it was the likes of Hendrix, Jimmy Page, then I got into NMA and The Cult and all that other stuff. Professor Stanley Unwin, Frank Zappa…

9. Name of your first band
Freespirit. I think I was about 13 years old.

10 Favourite book
Not got one. Currently reading Jerusalem by Alan Moore.

Aided and abetted by a motley crew, including the one and only Nobby, Angerland's driver, transport Captain and al la mode surrealist. With invaluable support from our little friend, Angus, spokesperson and mouthpiece of the band
